Reading Logs
Reading Log Information
Reading a little bit each day will help us grow into stronger readers! Every two 6-day cycles, the students will be asked to record their reading and reflect on one of their books. The students must read for 15 minutes non-stop for a reading to count towards their reading log. It is our hope the students will enjoy reading even longer as they grow and fall in love with reading! I will be sending home a letter explaining our expectations in 4th Grade, but I have also attached it below in case you would like to learn about our Reading Log ahead of time!
Reading Log Due Date: TBD
A few important reminders:
- Read 3 times per cycle for at least 15 minutes.
- Bonus points are awarded for additional readings.
- Students can continue reading the same book until they are finished and record each time on their reading log.
- Each Reading Log will be due after two 6-day cycles.
- A Parent/Guardian must sign as he/she completes the readings.
- Students will reflect on only one of their readings by choosing a prompt from the Prompt Sheet attached.
