Hello Students and Families,

I am Mrs. Ashley Madonna, the Emotional Support Teacher at Stewartsville Elementary.  

I provide Social-Emotional support and lesson to students with a documented need for support. 

This is my 11th year teaching in Special Education.  I have previously taught Autistic Support, Life Skills Support, and Comprehensive Therapeutic Emotional Support classes. While teaching, I held the position of Head Teacher for an IU1 campus school and Lead Support for California Area School District.    

I earned my dual master's degree from Penn West University (formerly Cal U), in General Education and Special Education.  As a grad student, I was a research assistant for the college's special education department and worked to build apps for users with Autism.  Also, I supported the departments field students in local classrooms and provided seminars on classroom technology.  I graduated Suma Cum Laude in the spring of 2014 and started right away supporting students as a one-on-one classroom aide for Norwin.  

I am a mom of 3 and we are very active in our community.  You will find us at a sporting event, troop meeting, playground, or bike path; always supporting Norwin School District. 

Spring 2025, I was awarded a grant provided by the Norwin School District Community Foundation and Del Nolfi Education Grants. The generous funds will support my curriculum project to enrich special education teaching and innovative learning opportunities for special education students.
